A property portal does not normally receive the original 360 image files. The tour remains on its hosting platform and the listing contains a link to it. With Redfield360, that is the stable URL shown after publishing, in the form redfield360.com/t/property-id. Build and test the route first with this guide to creating a 360 virtual tour for a property.
Rightmove virtual tour: adding a 360 tour
Rightmove's current customer guidance distinguishes between automatic feeds and Rightmove Plus:
- If your listings are sent by an automatic data feed, add the virtual-tour URL through the software that supplies the feed.
- If you upload through Rightmove Plus, open the property, choose the Media tab, find Additional media, select edit and then add link.
- Paste the secure public URL, add a short caption and save.
Rightmove states that an externally hosted secure link can open in a separate pop-up window. YouTube and Vimeo are treated differently because they can be embedded. Test the final listing rather than assuming every media type will look the same.
Zoopla virtual tour: adding a 360 tour
For a listing uploaded manually in ZooplaPro, Zoopla's instructions are to open Manage listings, choose the relevant sales or lettings department, edit the property, and paste the URL into the Video / Virtual tours field.
Zoopla also publishes a list of providers and video players that receive native presentation. An independently hosted interactive tour may be handled differently depending on the agency's feed and Zoopla's current support. Before promising a client a particular placement, ask your software supplier where its virtual-tour URL field is mapped and test one live listing.
What to send to the estate agent
A photographer does not need access to the agent's portal account. Send a compact handover containing:
- the property address;
- the complete HTTPS tour URL;
- a suggested caption, such as "Interactive 360 virtual tour";
- a reminder that the link should go in the virtual-tour or additional-media field;
- a contact point in case their feed supplier rejects or transforms the link.
Do not change the URL after the listing is live
The safest workflow is to publish once, send the URL, and keep that exact address for the life of the listing. Corrections should update the content behind the URL. Redfield360 is designed this way: republishing a project keeps its existing public tour address.
Final checks
- Open the tour link in a private browser before sending it.
- Check the welcome screen, agency logo and property address.
- Test the first three hotspot movements on desktop and mobile.
- After the portal updates, open the public property listing and follow its virtual-tour link.
- If the link is missing, ask whether the portal feed includes a dedicated virtual-tour field.
